Finnmark Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna Technology
Full-spectrum infrared heating is one of the defining features of the Finnmark Designs collection. Selected Finnmark infrared saunas combine Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters with Spectrum Carbon 360° panels to create a multi-element infrared heating system.
The combination is designed to provide different infrared wavelengths within the same sauna cabin. Finnmark's specifications describe the system as combining short-wave Spectrum Plus™ infrared heating with longer-wave carbon infrared panels.
This technology is available across the FD-1, FD-2, and FD-3 full-spectrum infrared sauna cabins sold by Infinity Saunas.
Spectrum Plus™ Infrared Heating
Finnmark Designs uses Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters in its full-spectrum and hybrid configurations. Selected heaters are UL listed, and Finnmark provides model-specific electrical and technical specifications for its sauna systems.
Spectrum Carbon 360° Panels
The Spectrum Carbon 360° system uses carbon infrared panels positioned throughout selected sauna cabins. This creates a broad heating layout rather than relying on a single heating panel.
Because heating configurations differ by model, always review the specifications of the individual Finnmark sauna before choosing a model based on its heating system.
Finnmark FD-1: Compact 1-Person Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna
The Finnmark FD-1 Full Spectrum 1-Person Infrared Sauna is the most compact full-spectrum model in the current Finnmark collection at Infinity Saunas.
The FD-1 combines Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters with Spectrum Carbon 360° panels and is designed for a single user. Its compact configuration makes it an option for homeowners who want to create a dedicated sauna space without requiring a large room.
The model also features a Canadian Western Red Cedar interior, Thermal Plus™ Aspen exterior, tempered glass, ergonomic seating, touchscreen controls, and Bluetooth audio.
Finnmark FD-2: 2-Person Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna
The Finnmark FD-2 Full Spectrum 2-Person Infrared Sauna expands the full-spectrum design for two people.
The FD-2 combines long-wave carbon infrared panels with Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters and features a Western Canadian Cedar interior with a Thermal Plus™ Aspen exterior.
Its interior also includes an ergonomic backrest, tempered glass door, touchscreen controls, and Bluetooth audio, creating a comfortable setup for regular home sauna sessions.
For homeowners looking for a compact two-person infrared sauna, the FD-2 is one of the key models to consider in the Finnmark collection.
Finnmark FD-3: Larger Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna
The Finnmark FD-3 Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna provides a larger cabin designed for three to four people.
The FD-3 uses Finnmark's full-spectrum heating configuration with Spectrum Plus™ infrared heaters and Spectrum Carbon 360° panels. Its larger interior provides additional space compared with the FD-1 and FD-2.
The FD-3 also features Western Canadian Cedar construction inside, Thermal Plus™ Aspen on the exterior, an LCD touchscreen controller, Bluetooth audio, 6-inch HiFi speakers, tempered glass, and ergonomic seating.
Finnmark Trinity Hybrid Saunas: Infrared and Traditional Heat
For homeowners who want more flexibility, Finnmark Designs offers the Trinity hybrid sauna collection. These models combine infrared heating with a traditional sauna heater in one cabin.
The hybrid approach gives you the ability to use infrared heating or traditional sauna heat depending on the selected model and session preference.
Finnmark FD-4 Trinity
The Finnmark FD-4 Trinity 2-Person Hybrid Sauna combines Finnmark's Spectrum Plus™ infrared heating with a Harvia traditional heater.
This compact two-person configuration is particularly interesting for homeowners who want the design and convenience of an infrared cabin while also having access to traditional sauna heating in the same unit.
Finnmark FD-5 Trinity XL
The Finnmark FD-5 Trinity XL 4-Person Hybrid Sauna expands the Trinity concept into a larger four-person cabin.
The XL configuration provides more interior space while maintaining the combination of infrared and traditional sauna heating that defines the Trinity collection.
Finnmark Outdoor Hybrid Barrel Saunas
Finnmark Designs also brings its hybrid heating concept outdoors with the FD-6 and FD-7 barrel saunas. These models combine infrared and traditional heating with a distinctive outdoor barrel design.
Finnmark FD-6 Cedar Barrel Sauna
The Finnmark FD-6 Outdoor Hybrid Cedar Barrel Sauna is a four-person outdoor sauna combining infrared and traditional sauna heating.
Its cedar construction and rounded barrel profile give it a more traditional outdoor sauna appearance while the hybrid heating system provides additional flexibility.
Finnmark FD-7 Thermo-Aspen Barrel Sauna
The Finnmark FD-7 Outdoor Hybrid Thermo-Aspen Barrel Sauna provides another four-person outdoor configuration with a Thermo-Aspen barrel design.
The FD-7 is a strong option for homeowners who want a modern outdoor barrel sauna combined with Finnmark's hybrid infrared and traditional heating approach.
Finnmark Canadian Red Cedar Sauna Interiors
Wood construction is an important part of the Finnmark Designs experience. Selected indoor Finnmark infrared models feature Western Canadian Red Cedar interiors, creating the natural wood appearance and aroma traditionally associated with premium sauna cabins.
The cedar interior is paired with other materials depending on the model. For example, the FD-1, FD-2, and FD-3 use Thermal Plus™ Aspen for their exterior construction.
Because materials vary across the Finnmark collection, check the exact product specifications when comparing wood types between models.
Thermal Plus™ Aspen Exterior Construction
Selected Finnmark infrared sauna cabins use Thermal Plus™ Aspen for the exterior. Finnmark describes this material as heat- and steam-treated Aspen designed for increased durability.
This exterior construction gives Finnmark's indoor infrared cabins a distinctive contemporary appearance while complementing the natural cedar interior.
The FD-1, FD-2, and FD-3 all feature this combination of Canadian Cedar interiors and Thermal Plus™ Aspen exteriors.
Finnmark Saunas With Modern Comfort Features
Finnmark Designs combines its heating technology with features designed to make the sauna comfortable and convenient to use. Depending on the model, these features can include touchscreen controls, Bluetooth audio, HiFi speakers, tempered glass, ergonomic backrests, adjustable feet, and interior lighting.
Touchscreen Controls
Selected Finnmark models feature built-in digital touchscreen controllers that allow users to control the sauna settings from the cabin.
Bluetooth Audio
Selected models include Bluetooth audio and integrated speakers, allowing you to listen to your preferred music or audio while using the sauna.
Ergonomic Seating
Finnmark's cabin designs incorporate ergonomic seating and backrest elements on selected models to provide a more comfortable seating position during sauna sessions.
Tempered Glass
Selected Finnmark cabins use tempered glass doors and glass panels to create a modern appearance while providing a clear view into and out of the sauna.
Finnmark Saunas for Different Home Spaces
Finnmark's indoor infrared cabins are designed around compact residential installation, making them suitable for dedicated wellness rooms, home gyms, bedrooms, basements, and other appropriate interior spaces.
The FD-1 is a particularly compact one-person option, while the FD-2 provides additional room for two people and the FD-3 offers a larger three-to-four-person configuration.
For outdoor installations, the FD-6 and FD-7 provide a different approach with their four-person barrel configurations.

Finnmark Sauna Sizes: 1 to 4 People
The current Finnmark collection at Infinity Saunas covers several sizes, allowing homeowners to choose based on available space and the number of people who will regularly use the sauna.

- 2 people: Finnmark FD-2 and FD-4 Trinity
- 3–4 people: Finnmark FD-3
- 4 people: Finnmark FD-5 Trinity XL, FD-6, and FD-7

Compare additional options in our 1-person sauna collection, 2-person sauna collection, and 4-person sauna collection.
Finnmark Full-Spectrum vs. Hybrid Sauna
One of the most important decisions when choosing a Finnmark sauna is whether you prefer a dedicated full-spectrum infrared cabin or a hybrid model.
Full-Spectrum Infrared
The FD-1, FD-2, and FD-3 are designed around Finnmark's full-spectrum infrared heating system. These models are a good fit for homeowners who specifically want an infrared sauna cabin.
Infrared and Traditional Hybrid
The FD-4 and FD-5 Trinity models combine infrared heating with traditional sauna heating. This gives homeowners two heating approaches within the same sauna.
Outdoor Hybrid
The FD-6 and FD-7 bring the hybrid concept into outdoor barrel sauna designs, providing an option for homeowners who want their Finnmark sauna outside.
How to Choose the Right Finnmark Designs Sauna
1. Decide Between Indoor and Outdoor
Start by determining where the sauna will be installed. FD-1 through FD-5 are indoor-focused configurations, while FD-6 and FD-7 are outdoor barrel models.
2. Choose Infrared or Hybrid Heating
If you want a dedicated full-spectrum infrared sauna, consider the FD-1, FD-2, or FD-3. If you want both infrared and traditional sauna heating, explore the Trinity FD-4 or FD-5, or the outdoor FD-6 and FD-7.
3. Choose the Right Capacity
Consider whether the sauna will normally be used alone, by two people, or by a larger group. Choosing the right interior size helps ensure that the sauna fits both your room and your intended use.
4. Compare Construction Materials
Look at the interior and exterior materials of each model. Selected Finnmark infrared cabins combine Western Canadian Red Cedar interiors with Thermal Plus™ Aspen exteriors, while the outdoor FD-6 and FD-7 use their own barrel-specific construction.
5. Review Electrical Requirements
Electrical specifications vary between models. Before ordering, review the product's voltage, amperage, plug, heater, and installation requirements and make sure the planned location can support the sauna.
Finnmark Designs vs. Traditional Infrared Saunas
Finnmark Designs is particularly appealing to homeowners who want more than a conventional infrared cabin. Its full-spectrum technology gives the infrared models a distinctive heating configuration, while its Trinity and outdoor barrel models add traditional sauna heating to the equation.
This range allows you to choose between a dedicated infrared cabin, a hybrid indoor sauna, or an outdoor hybrid barrel sauna without moving to a completely different brand.
